REALITAS KEHIDUPAN BERAGAMADALAM NOVEL BILANGAN FU KARYA AYU UTAMI:KAJIAN STRUKTURALISME GENETIK

Karya sastra sebagai cerminan kehidupan manusia tidak menutup kemungkinan memuat realitas tentang
agama dan budaya ini. Bilangan Fu karya Ayu Utami adalah satu judul novel yang disinyalir sesuai
dengan topik bahasan di atas. Untuk menelaahnya digunakanlah strukturalisme genetik Lucien
Goldmann. Penelitian ini juga mencari relevansi realitas kehidupan beragama dalam novel dengan realitas
nyata dengan media teori evolusi pola pikir beragama Robert Bellah.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologis. Metode
pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentatif dengan teknik catat data dan analisis data
menggunakan analisis isi dan dialektika keseluruhan-bagian.
Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan adanya relevansi kehidupan beragama dalam Bilangan Fu dengan
kehidupan beragama di masyarakat pesisir pantai Selatan. Lewat dialektika pemahaman-penjelasan bisa
ditarik garis bawah bahwa pertentangan aspek kepercayaan antar-tokoh disebabkan karena modernisme
yang gagal dan monoteisme yang salah tafsir. Sinkretisme pun muncul ditawarkan sebagai solusi
pemecahan masalah. Selain itu, kehidupan beragama dalam novel sudah sampai pada fase modern awal,
namun gagal mencapai fase modern menurut teori Robert Bellah.
Kata Kunci: kehidupan beragama, strukturalisme genetik, fakta kemanusiaan, subjek kolektif, struktur
sosial, pandangan dunia, dialektika pemahaman-penjelasan.
Abstract
As the reflection of human’s life, literary work becomes the way to keep and preserve the reality of it.
Ayu Utami’s novel which entitled Bilangan Fu was pointed by the researcher as the object of the study
according to the previous understanding. The researcher believes that Ayu Utami’s novel was the
reflection of human’s life. this study conducted to figure out the relevance of the reality between religious
life that was found in the novel and the logical reality with evolutionary mindset of religious theory of
Robert Bellah.
The researcher used qualitative research with sociological approach with data record techniques and the
researcher used dialectical unity-unit and content analysiz to analyse the data.
The result identified the similarity of the religious life between Bilangan Fu and the religious life of south
coast villagers. Through dialectical understanding-explanation, we can conclude that there was the cross
aspect among the characters. It happened because of the failure of modernism and translating monoteism.
Sincretism is the way that used to solve those problems. Besides, according to Robert Bellah, the novel
also shown the failure of riching modern fase of religious life.
