PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN LEARNING CYCLE 5E TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA TOPIK CAHAYA DI MTS NU TRATE GRESIK

Abstract

Based on the results of observations by researchers at the MTs NU Trate Gresik be known that the school has not implemented innovative learning that can be helped students to understand and get the concept of KKM study result of the accord. Because of that researcher tried to apply some kind of model of learning is Learning Cycle 5E. The aim of this research is to find out the influence of a model of learning is Learning Cycle 5E against study result of the students, on the topic of light knowing the activity of students and students know their response. The design of this research is true experimental design. The population of research is all the students class VIII MTs NU Trate Gresik. A sample of research consisting of the three classes his experiments (VIII-B, VIII-C and VIII-D) and one class of control (VIII-A). The result showed that kind of classroom (Learning Cycle 5E ) influential favorably to study result of the physics on the topic of light in the class VIII MTS NU Trate and company ' s activities, and students have a positive response against the implementation of a model of learning is Learning Cycle 5E on the topic of light.

Abstrak. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan peneliti di MTs NU Trate Gresik diketahui bahwa sekolah tersebut belum menerapkan pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat membantu siswa untuk memahami konsep dan mendapatkan hasil belajar sesuai KKM. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti mencoba menerapkan suatu model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada topik cahaya, mengetahui aktivitas siswa dan mengetahui respon siswa. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah true experimental design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs NU Trate Gresik. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari tiga kelas eksperimen (VIII-B, VIII-C dan VIII-D) dan satu kelas kontrol (VIII-A). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran (Learning Cycle 5E) berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar fisika pada topik cahaya di kelas VIII MTs NU Trate Gresik dan siswa mempunyai aktivitas serta respon yang positif terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E pada topik cahaya.
