PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF Tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI CAHAYA KELAS VIII DI SMPN 8 KEDIRI

Abstract

Improvement of the quality of education in Indonesia also depends on the quality of teachers, should also be supported with Facilities sufficient education. Without any facility that supports the educational process, education in indonesia will difficult are progressing. Based on interviews and preliminary observations to teachers subjects in physics class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Kediri, obtained information that subjects physics still regarded as subjects abstruse by most students. Students of lurch physics material can be seen from the results of study of students who do not comply with expectations. By using Cooperative learning model Type can affect the NHT expected learning Outputs. This research aims to describe the influence of the application of Cooperative learning model Type of student learning Outputs NHT class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Kediri in light materials. This type of research is a Quasi Experimental Design. The method of data collection using the method of tests and observation. Population research is all students class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Kediri academic year 2011 / 2012. Based on the result analysis about pre-test obtained a class VIII-F, VIII-G, VIII-H as a class experimentation and class VIII-I control, as a class distribution of normal and homogeny, While increasing results learn to use uji-t one party can be concluded that average study result of the student of experiments higher than graders control and through test linear regression double can be concluded that ability cooperative type NHT effect on study result of the students on class experiments. Most of the students against the response model of Cooperative learning Type NHT shows categories agreed and ability of teachers in managing teaching and learning activities showed good criteria.

Abstrak. Peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia selain tergantung kepada kualitas guru, juga harus di tunjang dengan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan yang memadai. Tanpa ada sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung proses pendidikan, pendidikan di Indonesia akan sulit mengalami kemajuan. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi awal dengan guru mata pelajaran fisika kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 8 Kediri, diperoleh informasi bahwa mata pelajaran fisika masih dianggap sebagai mata pelajaran yang sulit dimengerti oleh sebagian besar siswa. Kesukaran siswa terhadap materi fisika dapat dilihat dari hasil belajar siswa yang belum sesuai dengan harapan. Dengan pembelajaran menggunakan model Kooperatif Tipe NHT diharapkan dapat berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe NHT terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Kediri pada materi cahaya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperimental Design. Metoda pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes dan observasi. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Kediri tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Berdasarkan hasil analisis soal pre-test diperoleh kelas VIII-F, VIII-G, VIII-H sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-I sebagai kelas kontrol, berdistribusi normal dan homogen, sedangkan peningkatan hasil belajar menggunakan uji-t satu pihak dapat disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada siswa kelas kontrol dan melalui uji regresi linier ganda dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan Kooperatif Tipe NHT berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen. Respon sebagian besar siswa terhadap model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe NHT menunjukkan kategori setuju  dan kemampuan guru dalam mengelola kegiatan belajar mengajar menunjukkan kriteria yang baik.
