PENERAPAN TEKNIK CATATAN TULIS DAN SUSUN DALAM PEMBELAJARAN QUANTUM TEACHING PADA MATERI POKOK BUNYI DI SMP NEGERI 1 MOJOKERTO

Abstract

This research aimed for describing the application of Notes: Taking and Making (TM) technique on Quantum Teaching that is implemented to “Sound” as a subject matter and describing the student responses to the application of Notes: TM teqnique on Quantum Teaching that is implemented to “ Sound” in SMP Negeri 1 Mojokerto. The type of research used in this case is True Experimental Design. This research done in SMP Negeri 1 Mojokerto with the research subjects are the students of VIII C grade and VIII E grade. The design of the research is Control Group Pretest Posttest Design. The research is done by having pretest  in the beginning of the lesson, then the researcher taught use Quantum Teaching model with Notes: TM technique. In the last of the lesson, the class had posttest to know the student achievement. Based on the analysis data of research result, the application of Notes: Taking and Making (TM) technique on Quantum Teaching could improve the student achievement of VIII grade that is implemented to “ Sound” as a subject matter. It shown by the cognitive of experiment class is better than the cognitive of control class was taught by commonly learning used in SMP Negeri 1 Mojokerto with significant level of 0,05 or 95% level of confidence. The student responses to the application of Notes: TM teqnique on Quantum Teaching is excellent with the average percentage of student responses is 83%.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan teknik Catatan Tulis dan Susun (TS) dalam pembelajaran Quantum Teaching pada materi pokok Bunyi dan mendeskripsikan respons siswa terhadap penerapan teknik Catatan: TS dalam pembelajaran Quantum Teaching pada materi pokok Bunyi di SMP Negeri 1 Mojokerto. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah True Experimental Design yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Mojokerto dengan subyek penelitian kelas VIII C dan VIII E. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Desain Prates-Pascates Kelompok Acak. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengadakan pretest pada awal pertemuan, kemudian memberikan pembelajaran menggunakan Quantum Teaching dengan teknik Catatan: TS. Pada pertemuan terakhir diadakan posttest untuk mengukur nilai kognitif sebagai hasil belajar siswa. Dari analisis data hasil penelitian, didapatkan penerapan teknik Catatan: TS dalam pembelajaran Quantum Teaching dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII pada materi pokok Bunyi yang ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata nilai kognitif kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada rata-rata nilai kognitif kelas kontrol yang diajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran yang biasa digunakan di SMP Negeri 1 Mojokerto dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 atau taraf kepercayaan 95% dan respons siswa kelas VIII C terhadap penerapan teknik Catatan: TS dalam pembelajaran Quantum Teaching berkriteria baik sekali dengan rata-rata persentase respons siswa sebesar 83%.
