PENGARUH PENERAPAN LATIHAN SOAL BERGAMBAR TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XI IPA PADA MATERI KESETIMBANGAN BENDA TEGAR DI SMAN 2 MOJOKERTO

Abstract

Based on the results of observation conducted researcher at SMAN 2 Mojokerto noted that the school is still largely a matter of practice using the words. Therefore, researchers are trying to implement an exercise about the picture. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of the application of the results of the exercise problem illustrated in student learning the material balance of the rigid, particularly in the cognitive domain. This study uses design “Control group pre test–post test design”. This research is the entire population of students of Class XI IPA SMAN 2 Mojokerto. The sample consists of one class of research experiments (XI IPA 4) and a control class (XI IPA 1). The Data retrieved is the result of pre and post test test. Next the data analyzed with statistical test which consists of normality, test much of its homogeneity, and test hypotheses. Pre test results are analyzed with normality test and test much of its homogeneity. Based on the results of the analysis of the test of normality and much of its homogeneity, it brings all the test classes distributed normally and homogeneous. T-test analysis based on two parties obtained an average value of post test experimental classes differ from the average value of the post test control class, because it tcalculate > ttabel. T-test analysis of one party obtained an average value of post test experimental class better than the average value of the post test control class. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the exercise illustrated the positive impact of the problem results in class XI student learning IPA on the material balance of rigid SMAN 2 Mojokerto.

Abstrak. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan peneliti di SMAN 2 Mojokerto diketahui bahwa sekolah tersebut sebagian besar masih menggunakan latihan soal berupa kata-kata. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti mencoba menerapkan suatu latihan soal bergambar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan latihan soal bergambar terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi kesetimbangan benda tegar, terutama pada ranah kognitif. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain “Control group pre test-post test design”. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 2 Mojokerto. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas satu kelas eksperimen (XI IPA 4) dan satu kelas kontrol (XI IPA 1). Data yang diperoleh adalah hasil pre test dan post test. Selanjutnya data tersebut dianalisis dengan statistik yang terdiri atas uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil pre test dianalisis dengan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, didapatkan semua kelas terdistribusi normal dan homogen. Berdasarkan analisis uji t dua pihak diperoleh rata-rata nilai post test kelas eksperimen berbeda dengan rata-rata nilai post test kelas kontrol, karena thitung > ttabel. Dari hasil analisis uji t satu pihak diperoleh rata-rata nilai post test kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada rata-rata nilai post test kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan latihan soal bergambar berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA pada materi kesetimbangan benda tegar di SMAN 2 Mojokerto.
