PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD DENGAN METODE EKSPERIMEN PADA MATERI GETARAN DAN GELOMBANG KELAS VIII DI SMP N 1 BANGSAL MOJOKERTO

Abstract

Kenyataan yang ada di SMP N 1 Bangsal Mojokerto bahwa cara mengajar guru di sekolah tersebut dengan teori dan praktikum yang belum terarah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa, mendeskripsikan aktivitas siswa, dan mendeskripsikan respon siswa melalui kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode eksperimen. Penelitain ini merupakan  eksperimental dengan randomized control group pretest posttest design dengan empat kelas eksperimen (VIIIA, VIIIC, VIIIF) dan satu kelas kontrol (VIIIG). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran STAD dengan metode eksperimen lebih baik daripada hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajar STAD dengan metode demonstrasi dengan aktivitas siswa ketika pembelajaran berlangsung yang paling menonjol adalah aktivitras berdiskusi dengan anggota kelompok dan siswa memberikan respon yang baik terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan metode eksperimen tersebut.

ABSTRACT

Teachers at Junior High School 1 Bangsal Mojokerto factually teach with unorganized theory and inquiry. This research is the application of STAD with inquiry method in the capter of pulse and wave. This research was objected to describe the students’ learning result, students’ activity, and students’ responses by teaching and learning activity trough STAD method with experiment method. Randomized control group with pretest and postest was used in this expreimental research. It used four experimental classes (VIIIA, VIIIC, VIIIF) and one control class (VIIIG). Research resulted that discussion between students in a group is prominent in the result of students’ learning activity trough the application of STAD with demonstration and students’ activity while the students are learning. Besides, the srudents gave good response toward the application of cooperative teaching type STAD with experiment method.
