PENERAPAN METODE GUIDE INQUIRY DALAM PEMBELAJARAN ILMU PENGETAHUAN ALAM UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru, dan mendesripsikan  aktivitas siswa melalui penerapan metode guide inquiry. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan melalui 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan dalam dua pertemuan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SDN Rejoagung Kecamatan Ploso Jombang.. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, dan tes. Data hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa dianalisis dalam bentuk persentase. Data tes hasil belajar siswa dianalisis berdasarkan persentase ketuntasan belajar secara individu dan klasikal kemudian dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan persentase hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN Rejoagung Ploso Jombang. Jika pada siklus I Ketuntasan belajar adalahb 46%, pada siklus II meningkat 37% menjadi 85%. Aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan 21% pada siklus II dibandingkan Siklus I, yaitu dari 68% menjadi 87%.Aktivitas guru mengalami peningkatan sebesar 22% yaitu dari 68% pada siklus I menjadi 90% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode guide inquiry dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Bagi guru, hendaknya menerapkan metode guide inquiry pada pembelajaran IPA agar siswa terbiasa mandiri dan tidak selalu bergantung kepada sang guru untuk memperoleh informasi.

Abstract: This study aims to Improve student learning results , describing the activities of teachers and students through the implementation of guide inquiry method in natural science learning This type of research is action research that consists of 2 cycles. Each cycle is carried out through four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each cycle was conducted in two meetings. The subjects were all students of five grade Rejoagung Ploso Jombang State Elementary School. Data were obtained through observation, and testing. Data resulting from the activity of the teacher and student observations analyzed in terms of percentage. Student achievement test data were analyzed based on the percentage of mastery learning individually and then classically described teacher’s activity by applying guide inquiry method. The results showed an increase in the percentage of student learning results Rejoagung Ploso Jombang State Elementary School. If in the first cycle Mastery learning is 46%, in the second cycle increased 37% to 85%. Activities of students has increased 21% in the second cycle than the first cycle, from 68% to 87%. Teacher’s Activities increased by 22% from 68% in the first cycle to 90% in the second cycle. Based on the obtained results it can be concluded that the application  of guide inquiry methods could improve student learning result. For teachers, should apply guide inquiry method in science learning so that students get used independently and do not always rely on the teacher to obtain information.
