PENERAPAN STRATEGI MIND MAP UNTUK PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Abstrak: Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dapat disebabkan oleh strategi belajar yang kurang tepat. Permasalahan ini sering ditemui dalam pembelajaran dengan banyak konsep, sehingga memperbanyak aktivitas mengingat siswa, salah satunya adalah pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS).  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan strategi Mind Map. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari tiga siklus dan empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi.  Hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah penerapan strategi Mind Map ini, dari siklus satu sebesar 54,05%, siklus dua 72,97% dan siklus tiga sebesar 86,48%. Hasil tersebut membuktikan bahwa penerapan strategi mind map dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V Sekolah dasar.

Abstract: The cause of student’s study result became low is wrong learning strategy. This problem was known on the lesson which have many concepts to understand, so that the student have to memorize. One of the lesson is social science. The aim of this research is to describe the increasing study result used mind map strtategy in their lesson. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) that consist of three cycles with each steps, they were: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research used qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques to obtain data through observation, testing, documentation and interview. The data were analyzed and presented in the form of descriptive qualitative and quantitative, and it was made in the form of diagrams. The scores of the test also increased, at the first cycle 54,05%, at the second cycle 72,97%, and the third cycle had 86,48%. From this research results, we got data that showed an increase of percentage or activity scores of the students and teacher from the first cycle until the third cycle. From the result could be concluded that the application of mind map strategy could increased the score test in fifth grade of social science in SDN Plosogenuk I Perak Jombang
