MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA KOLASE PADA SISWA KELAS V SDN PAMOTAN 1 KECAMATAN PORONG KABUPATEN SIDOARJO

Abstract

Abstrak:  Pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar, menuntut para guru untuk menggunakan media yang dapat menarik perhatian siswa. Namun, dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS di kelas V SDN Pamotan 1 Porong-Sidoarjo belum dapat mencapai tujuan yang maksimal. Kurangnya penggunaan media dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar menjadi kendala dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini maka dilakukan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media kolase, dengan harapan siswa dapat mencapai hasil belajar yang baik. Rancangan penelitian ini berupa Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran, hasil belajar siswa, dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi selama proses penelitian serta cara mengatasinya dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan penggunaan media kolase. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik pengamatan (observasi), tes, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar melalui penggunaan media kolase siswa kelas V SDN Pamotan 1 Porong-Sidoarjo. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran guru pada siklus I memperoleh presentase ketuntasan 71,25%. Pada siklus II memperoleh presentase ketuntasan 82,5% dan meningkat pada siklus III dengan perolehan 92,5%. Sementara pada aktivitas siswa di siklus I memperoleh presentase ketuntasan 62,5%. Sedangkan pada siklus II aktivitas siswa mendapat presentase ketuntasan 82,14% dan memperoleh kenaikan pada siklus III dengan perolehan presentase sebesar 91,07%. Sedangkan pada hasil belajar siswa, perolehan rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I diperoleh 68,70 dan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa 61,3%. Setelah diadakan perbaikan yang dilakukan pada siklus II, hasil belajar siswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata 77,25 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa adalah 74,19%. Dan setelah diadakan perbaikan kembali pada siklus III terjadi kenaikan hasil belajar siswa dengan nilai rata-rata 84,19 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa 90,32%. Secara keseluruhan kendala yang dihadapi pada siklus I dan siklus II, yaitu kurangnya kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran di kelas, namun hal tersebut telah diperbaiki pada setiap siklusnya.

Abstract: The study of social study in elementary school have been prosecuted the teachers to be more innovative in using the media in order to attract the student interest. But in contrast, the practical learning of social study in the 5^th grade student of SDN Pamotan  1 Porong-Sidoarjo hasn’t reach the maximal purpose in studying the subject. The lack of media in the process of the study becomes one of the obstacles that obstructing the study process. To overcome that problem, collage  media as the media of the study is utilized, in order to make the student reach the best result of their study. The outline of this research is about the research of class action “(Penelitian Tindakan Kelas)”. It has purpose to describe the implementation of the study, the result of the study and the obstacles that the student faced in the process of the research, also the method to overcome that obstacles by using kolase media. Moreover, in this research there is the data collection which is derived by observation, test, and interview. The result of the research shows that there is an improvement of the study result by using collage media in the 5^th grade student of SDN Pamotan 1 Porong-Sidoarjo. The implementation of teacher’s practical learning in the first cycle get 71,25% successful percentage. In the second cycle, get 82,5% successful percentage and it is more improving in the third cycle with the successful percentage until  92,5%. Besides, in the first cycle of  student activities shows 62,5% of successful percentage, in the second cycle get 82,14% successful percentage and more improving in the third cycle which is shows the percentage of the successful until 91,07%. In the other hand, the average of the student’s score in their study result shows 68,70  and the successful percentage of study result 61,3%. After there is an evaluation in the second cycle, the average of the student’s score in their study result is 77,25 with 74,19% successful percentage. And after there is an evaluation again in the third cycle, there is an improvement in the student’s score, it is shows the average of the student’s score in their study is about 84,19 with 90,32% successful percentage. Therefore, the obstacle that the students face in the first and second cycle is about the lack of teacher’s ability in managing practical study in the classroom, but the entire problem is already recovered in each cycle of the study result.
