PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MULTIMEDIA BERBASIS MOVIE MAKER DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam penggunaan multimedia berbasis movie maker, hasil belajar  siswa, serta kendala-kendala dan cara mengatasinya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) sebanyak dua siklus, dan tiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, tes, dan catatan lapangan.  Analisis data menggunakan deskripti kualitatif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I yaitu 76% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 96%. Aktivitas siswa siklus I 75% meningkat menjadi 89%. Sementara itu, hasil belajar kognitif siklus I 70% meningkat menjadi 93% pada siklus II, afektif siklus I 90% meningkat menjadi 96% pada siklus II, hasil belajar psikomotoor siklus I 70% menjadi 88% pada siklus II. Kendala-kendala yang dihadapi adalah suasana kelas kurang kondusif karena guru kurang mempersiapkan alat-alat yang mendukung tampilan media dengan maksimal, siswa kurang aktif, dan pengelolaan waktu. Cara mengatasinya dengan pengkondisian kelas yang baik dan mengecek alat-alat yang akan dipergunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan baik sebelum dipergunkan, memberikan motivasi agar siswa lebih aktif dan pengaturan waktu pembelajaran. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan multimedia berbasis movie maker dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di  Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the activities of teachers and students in the implementation of movie maker-based multimedia, students’ learning outcome, as well as the obstacles during implementing this method and how to overcome them. This study was a classroom action research with two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action and observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, test, and field notes. The results showed that the teachers activities at the cycle I had increased to 76% and 96% at the cycle II. Students activities at cycle I was 75% and increased to 89%. Meanwhile, the results of cognitive learning outcome at cycle I was 70% increased to 93% at the cycle II, the affective learning outcome  of the cycle I had an increase of 90% to 96% at the cycle II, the psikomotor learning outcome of cycle I was 70% and  in the cycle II was 88%.  The obstacles faced during this implementation were the less conducive classroom atmosphere because the teachers were not preparing the equipments well which supported the media to do its maximum performance, students were less active, and time management. How to overcome those obstacles were by creating good class athmosphere and checking all the equipments well used in the teaching learning process before using it, giving motivation in order to help the students to be more active and managing the learning time. It can be concluded that the implementation of movie maker-based multimedia can improve students learning outcome for science subjects in elementary school
