PENINGKATAN KREATIVITAS KETERAMPILAN MEMBUAT KARYA KONSTRUKSI DENGAN PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN LANGSUNG PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh karakteristik siswa yang masih belum berani menuangkan ide kreatif dalam menghasilkan karya dan takut hasil karyanya jelek, sehingga menghambat pengembangan kreativitas siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan siswa, untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kreativitas keterampilan membuat karya konstruksi pada siswa, dan kendala yang dialami ketika menerapkan model pembelajaran langsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, tes unjuk kerja, dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Segoromadu Gresik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan secara bertahap dengan hasil akhirnya melebihi indikator ketercapaian. Aktivitas guru selama 3 siklus menunjukkan peningkatan 13 % dengan hasil siklus terakhir mencapai 94%. Aktivitas siswa selama 3 siklus menunjukkan peningkatan 10,6% dengan hasil siklus terakhir mencapai 90%. Kreativitas siswa dalam membuat karya konstruksi juga mengalami peningkatan dengan peningkatan rata-rata klasikal 9,1 dan hasil siklus terakhir mencapai 83,9, serta presentase ketuntasan klasikal meningkat 38% dengan hasil siklus terakhir mencapai 89,7%.

Abstract: The research was motivated by the characteristics of elementary school students who still do not dare to be creative in generating ideas work and they fear if get bad results, so it was inhibite to the development of students' creativity. This research goals are to describe the activities of teachers and students, to describe the increasing of student creativity skills to make the construction work, and constraints experienced when use direct instruction model. This research uses classroom action research, with qualitative descriptive approach, using collection data techniques such as observation, performance tests, and interviews. The subject was fourth grade student of Segoromadu Elementary School of Gresik. The result showed that the enhancement happened constantly until passed the indicator grade. Teacher activities along three cycles showed the enhancement up to 13 %, and on the last cycle became 94%. Students activitas along 3 cycles, were increased 10,6%, and the third cycle were 90%. Students creativity on construction art work also increased, on clasical average 9,1 and the last cycle became 83,9, and the clasical percentage 38% and the last cycle became 89,7%.
