PENGGUNAAN MEDIA BENDA KONKRET UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS PUISI SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Abstrak: Berdasarkan data observasi terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran menulis puisi di kelas V SDN Sidotopo IV/51 Kecamatan Semampir Surabaya menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas V belum mampu menulis kata-kata. Terdapat 55% siswa yang tidak mencapai KKM yang telah ditentukan yaitu 70. Dari data di atas disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan siswa dalam menulis puisi masih rendah. Dalam pembelajaran menulis, guru masih menggunakan cara-cara mengajar yang konvensional, yaitu guru menjelaskan kemudian meminta siswa untuk mengerjakan tugas, tidak ada demonstrasi dalam membuat puisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), yang dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan selama 2 pertemuan. Kedua siklus tersebut terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, tes dan  catatan lapangan. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor ketercapaian aktivitas guru mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I adalah 71,1 dan pada siklus II mencapai 89,4. Sementara itu, ketuntasan belajar menulis puisi dengan menggunakan media benda konkret dalam model pembelajaran langsung mengalami peningkatan. Pada siklus I mencapai persentase ketuntasan klasikal siswa mencapai 75% sedangkan pada siklus II persentase ketuntasan klasikal siswa mencapai 85%. Kendala-kendala yang dihadapi adalah cara menguasai kelas, cara mengatasinya dengan membuat kontrak belajar. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media benda konkret dalam model pembelajaran langsung dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas V SDN Sidotopo IV/51.

Abstract: In learning Indonesian in particular in terms of elementary students to write poetry is known that the low student to learn to write poetry. This is due in teaching writing, teachers are still using methods of conventional teaching. Teacher instructional behavior is described as follows: (1) the teacher has not used the exact learning model, (2) the activities of beginning teachers just tell students to open the book the package on a particular page, and then asked the students do not understand any part of which, (3) teacher having students create poetry without explaining / demonstrating in advance, (4) lack of attention to the teacher student interest, (5) material selection is based solely on textbooks, (6) do not use the media during the learning. The purpose of the research is to describe a class action (1) the application of learning by using concrete objects media, (2) the results of the fifth grade students wrote poems SDN Sidotopo IV/51 Surabaya.The study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was done by two cycles. Each cycle conducted during two meetings. Second cycle consists of the planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study using observation, testing and field notes. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that the percentage of teachers keterlaksanaan activity has increased in the first cycle and second cycle is 100% and the achievement of the first cycle was 71.1. In the second cycle of achievement of all teachers is 89.4. Meanwhile, mastery learning to write poetry using concrete objects in a model media direct instruction has increased. In the first cycle classical completeness percentage of students achieving 75%, while in the second cycle students classical completeness percentage reached 85%. Constraints faced was how to master the classroom, how to cope with making learning contract. It can be concluded that the use of media in teaching model concrete objects can directly improve the skills of fifth grade students wrote poems SDN Sidotopo IV/51.
