PENERAPAN MIND MAPPING SEBAGAI STRATEGI BELAJAR IPA TERPADU POKOK BAHASAN MATA DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMP

Berdasarkan hasil observasi lapangan menunjukkan hasil belajar di SMP Negeri 2 Jombang masih belum maksimal. Ketuntasan kelas di kelas 8F SMP Negeri 2 Jombang sebesar 65%. Sedangkan kelas dianggap tuntas belajar jika ketuntasan kelas mencapai ≥ 80%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa hasil belajar  siswa masih belum maksimal. Hal ini dapat terjadi karena adanya beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi, salah satunya adalah pemilihan strategi belajar. Oleh karena itu dalam penelitian ini peneliti mencoba menerapkan strategi belajar Mind Mapping pada pokok bahasan mata. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan Mind Mapping sebagai strategi belajar IPA terpadu pokok bahasan mata dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP, mendeskripsikan Mind Mapping sebagai strategi belajar IPA terpadu pokok bahasan mata dalam penguasaan mengorganisasikan informasi siswa SMP, dan mendeskripsikan respons siswa terhadap penerapan Mind Mapping sebagai strategi belajar IPA terpadu pokok bahasan mata. Penelitan yang dilakukan adalah penelitian Pre-Experimental Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Jombang. Sampel penelitian  ini adalah siswa kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 2 Jombang. Hasil pretest dianalisis dengan uji normalitas, sedangkan hasil post-test akan dianalisis dengan uji t. Penerapan Mind Mapping sebagai strategi belajar IPA terpadu pokok bahasan mata dapat meningkatkan h asil belajar siswa SMP. Hasil belajar siswa mencapai ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 88,46 %. Sedangkan untuk hasil belajar afektif siswa setelah penerapan Mind Mapping pada pokok bahasan mata diperoleh rata-rata kelas sebesar 83,65 % dengan kriteria sangat bagus. Setelah penerapan Mind Mapping pada pokok bahasan mata penguasaan dalam mengorganisasikan informasi siswa sangat bagus, hal ini didukung dengan rata-rata hasil evaluasi Mind Mapping yaitu sebesar 82,63 dengan kategori sangat bagus. Selain itu hasil angket respon siswa terhadap penerapan Mind Mapping sebagai strategi belajar IPA terpadu pokok bahasan mata menunjukkan respon yang sangat baik.

Abstract

Based on the result of observations showed that the result of study in Junior High School 2 Jombang still not maximum. Class eexhaustiveness of 8F  SMP 2 Jombang in the mount of 65%. Meanwhile, the class is said to reach the class exhaustiveness, if the class exhaustiveness in the mount of 80%. This proved that study result of the student still not maximum. This can occur because of several factors that affect; one is the selection of learning strategies. Therefore, in this research the researcher tries to apply Mind Mapping strategies on eye subject. The purpose of the research is to describe mind mapping as learning strategy of science integrated on eye subject in inproving the result of study, describe the Mind Mapping as a strategy for learning science integrated subjects in junior high school students’s mastery of organizing information, and describes the response of students to the application of Mind Mapping integrated IPA learning strategies as the subject of eyes. The study conducted is research Pre-Experimental Design. The population of this research is the whole grade VIII Junior High School 2 Jombang. Sample research is grade VIII E Junior High School 2 Jombang. Pretest results analyzed with normality test, while the results of the post-test would be analyzed by t-test. Learning outcomes students reached a classical eexhaustiveness 88,46%. As for the learning outcomes of students affective after the application of Mind Mapping in the subject earned average grades of 83,65% with very good criteria. After the application of Mind Mapping in the eyes of the subject matter mastery in organizing student information is very good, it is supported by the results of the evaluation of the average Mind Mapping that is 82,63 with a category of very good. In addition the student response to question form the application of Mind Mapping science integrated learning strategies as the subject's eyes shows a very good response.
