Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan media digital game based learning melalui word hunt mission, kelayakan media digital game based learning melalui word hunt mission dan respons siswa terhadap media digital game based learning melalui word hunt mission pada kompetensi dasar ruang lingkup protokol kelas XII APK 2 di SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D), menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian, tahap perancangan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap penyebaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, validasi ahli materi memperoleh rata-rata nilai 89% dengan kategori sangat kuat, validasi ahli media memperoleh rata-rata nilai 96,67% dengan kategori sangat kuat dan hasil uji coba terbatas pada 20 siswa kelas XII Administrasi Perkantoran 2 di SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya menunjukkan rata-rata nilai keseluruhan sebesar 94% pada kategori sangat kuat. sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media digital game based learning melalui word hunt mission layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The aims of the research are to determine the development of digital media based learning by word hunt mission, the properness of digital media game based learning by word hunt mission and student response to digital media based learning by word hunt mission on the basic competence of the scope of protocol class XII APK 2 SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya. Type of research is Research and Development (R & D), using 4-D development model which consists of define, design, development, and disseminate. Based on result of research, validation of material experts get average of score 89% with very strong category, validation of media expert get average of score 96,67% value with very strong category and result of limited trial to 20 students of XII Administration Office 2 class in SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya showed an average score of 94% in very strong category. The conclusion that the digital media game based learning through word hunt mission feasible to be used in the learning process.
