Several things that will be discussed in this research are (1) How is the development of the competition system in the National Reyog Festival; (2) How is the influence of the National Reyog Festival on the creative development of Reyog Art. This study uses a historical research method consisting of four stages, (1) Heuristics is the process of collecting sources obtained from interviews with informants who participated in the National Reyog Festival, Tourism Office, Ponorogo Regency Culture and Ponorogo Reyog Foundation, book Guidelines for the Basic Arts of Reyog Ponorogo In the National Culture stage by the District Government of Ponorogo Level II and other relevant sources; (2) Source criticism, is the stage of conducting testing and verification, source criticism is carried out to obtain historical facts related to the research title; (3) Historiography, namely the writing of research results arranged chronologically according to the sources obtained. The results of this study explain that the 2005 National Reyog Festival experienced developments in its musical compositions being made more creative by incorporating the Reyog Ponorogo gamelan with new notes whose beats were faster and separated from the standard of Reyog music. Then in 2007 participant Simo Budi Utomo entered female vocals, which led to many Reyog groups including female vocals. In 2008 the development of the National Reyog Festival lies in the awards for the best choreography pattern, best dancer, best accompaniment and best presenter. In 2009 the development of the accumulated assessment system became a score system. Meanwhile, in 2015 female participants were able to wear hijab and trousers<br>Keywords: Development, National Reyog Festival, Reyog Ponorogo, Ponorogo</p> Nikhen Febiola Putri Saksono Wisnu Wisnu ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://jurnalmahasiswa.unesa.ac.id/index.php/avatara/ 2022-02-14 2022-02-14 12 1 PERAN KAMPUNG LAWANG SEKETENG SURABAYA BAGI PARA TOKOH PERJUANGAN KEMERDEKAAN 1945 https://ejournal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/avatara/article/view/45162 <p>This research is important because the history of Kampung Lawang Surabaya has an important meaning in terms<br>of village history and aspects of the nation's struggle. Primary data at that time was taken from government archives as tangible evidence for events experienced by the middle class. Surabaya was the capital of the residency of Surabaya during the Dutch East Indies era which was in charge of six regions, namely Gresik, Mojokerto, Lamongan, Jombang, and Sidoarjo. However, the Duchy of Surabaya was then split into two, in 1859 based on Staatsblad No. 6 issued on January 31, 1859, this resulted in changes in social and political conditions in Sidoarjo. The research methods used include (i) topic selection, (ii) source collection, (iii) verification or criticism, (iv) interpretation or interpretation, and (v) historiography sourced from Nieuw Soerabaia, Oud Soerabaia, and Jejak Sidoarjo from Jenggala to Suriname, this research was compiled with the intention of obtaining historical data on the history of the expansion of the Duchy of Surabaya in 1859-1862 and the social and political conditions at the time of the division of the city. In this study, the condition of the expansion of the region resulted in new problems such as the cultuurstelsel at the Watoetoelis Sugar Factory which was one of the priority or main sugar exporters during the Dutch East Indies government, the classification of social status such as the owner of a large land who became a hajj, rebellion between farmers and the colonial government.
