PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA ILUSI CARD UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS CERITA FANTASI BAGI SISWA KELAS VII SMP

Pada kurikulum 2013, cerita fantasi menjadi kompetensi dasar pengetahuan dan keterampilan di tingkat SMP/MTs kelas VII. Kompetensi dasar mengenai cerita fantasi mampu memacu dan mengembangkan daya imajinasi anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media ilusi card dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita fantasi bagi siswa kelas VII SMP. Media ilusi card yang dikembangkan berdasarkan pada pengembangan media dan kualitas media yang memperhatikan tiga aspek, yakni kevalidan, keefektifan, dan kepraktisan. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) bermodel Sadiman dkk. Data pengembangan media ilusi card berupa deskripsi proses pengembangan media. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah siswa SMPN 29 Surabaya. Uji coba dilakukan melalui dua tahap, yakni uji coba terbatas untuk sepuluh siswa kelas VII B dan uji coba luas untuk 32 siswa kelas VII A. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan teknik angket, validasi, observasi, dan tes, dianalisis menggunakan metode deskripsi kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian pengembangan media ilusi card dilakukan dengan melalui beberapa tahap, di antaranya analisis kebutuhan dan karakteristik siswa, perumusan tujuan, perumusan butir-butir materi, perumusan alat pengukur keberhasilan, penulisan rancangan media, pemvalidasian dan perevisian, pengujicobaan, dan pemproduksian media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas media ilusi card untuk pembelajaran menulis cerita fantasi bagi kelas VII SMP layak digunakan dengan predikat “sangat baik” dengan persentase 91,2%. Pada aspek kevalidan, media ilusi card divalidasi berdasarkan kesesuaian isi/materi dan penyajian mendapatkan hasil persentase 87,7% dengan predikat “sangat baik”. Pada aspek keefektifan, media ilusi card dinilai berdasarkan hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa dan hasil tes belajar siswa menunjukkan hasil persentase 87,6% dengan predikat “sangat baik”. Pada aspek kepraktisan, media ilusi card dinilai berdasarkan penyebaran angket repons siswa menunjukkan persentase 98,2% dengan predikat ”sangat baik”.

Abstract

In the 2013 curriculum, fantasy stories became the basis of knowledge and skills competency in SMP / MTs class VII. Basic competence about fantasy story is able to stimulate and develop childs imagination. This research aims to develop ilusi card media for fantasy story writing lessons for student class VII SMP. Ilusi card media are developed based on media development and media quality that pay attention to three aspects, namely the validity, effectiveness, and practicality. This study uses research and development design modeled Sadiman et al. Data ilusi card of media development in the form of a description of media development process. Subjects trials in research and development are students of SMPN 29 Surabaya. The trials were conducted through two stages: a limited trial for ten students of class VII B and extensive trial for 32 students of VII B. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, validation, observation, and tests were analyzed using quantitative description method. The results of developing the ilusi card media is done through several stages, including the analysis of the needs and characteristics of the students, the formulation of objectives, the formulation of material points, the formulation of measuring tools of success, writing media design, validation and revision, trial, and production ready script. The results showed that the quality of ilusi card media for fantasy story riting lessons for student class VII SMP worthy to be used with a “very good” predicate with a percentage of 91.2%. In the aspect of validity, the ilusi card media is validated based on the content / material conformity and the presentation gets the result of 87.7% percentage with the predicate "very good". In the effectiveness aspect, the ilusi cad media was assessed based on the observation result of teacher and student activity and the result of student learning test showed the result of percentage 87,6% with the predicate "very good". In the aspect of practicality, the ilusi card media judged based on the questionnaire of repons students showed 98.2% percentage with the predicate "very good".
