Pengembangan Media Permainan Ular Tangga Elektrik dalam Pembelajaran Teks Deskripsi Peserta Didik Kelas VII SMPN 2 Sidoarjo

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengembangan media permainan ular tangga elektrik dalam pembelajaran teks deskripsi peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 2 Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keadaan rata-rata peserta didik yang masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi dan menulis teks deskripsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian dan pengembangan model Sadiman. Data pengembangan berupa deskripsi pengembangan media. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII-G SMPN 2 Sidoarjo. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar angket kebutuhan peserta didik dan wawancara, validasi, pengamatan/observasi, dan angket respons peserta didik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis hasil angket kebutuhan peserta didik dan wawancara pendidik, analisis hasil validator ahli, analisis hasil pengamatan /observasi, analisis hasil belajar, dan analisis hasil angket respons peserta didik.

Hasil penelitian pengembangan media permainan ular tangga elektrik menunjukkan bahwa kualitas media permainan ular tangga elektrik dalam pembelajaran teks deskripsi bagi peserta didik kelas VII-G SMPN 2 Sidoarjo layak digunakan dengan predikat “sangat berkualitas” dengan persentase 84,5%. Pada aspek kevalidan, media permainan ular tangga elektrik divalidasi berdasarkan kesesuaian isi/materi mendapatkan hasil persentase 89,2% dengan predikat “sangat baik”, berdasarkan validasi ahli media mendapatkan persentase 76,2% dengan predikat “baik”. Berdasarkan hasil kevalidan tersebut kevalidan media memiliki persentase keseluruhan 82% dengan predikat “sangat baik”

Pada aspek keefektifan media, media permainan ular tangga elektrik dinilai berdasarkan hasil pengamatan aktivitas pendidik mendapatkan persentase nilai 87,6% dengan predikat “sangat baik”. Hasil dari pengamatan aktivitas peserta didik mendapatkan persentase 83,6% dengan predikat “sangat baik”, dan hasil belajar peserta didik mendapatkan persentase 89,4% dengan predikat “sangat baik”. Keefektifan media berdasarkan hasil pengamatan aktivitas pendidik, pengamatan aktivitas peserta didik, dan hasil belajar peserta didik memiliki nilai persentase keseluruhan 86,8% dengan predikat “sangat baik”. Pada aspek kepraktisan, media permainan ular tangga elektrik dinilai berdasarkan penyebaran angket respons peserta didik yang menunjukkan persentase 84,7% dengan predikat “sangat baik”.

Abstract

This study aims to describe about development of an electric ladder snake game media in the description text learning of VIIth class at SMPN 2 Sidoarjo students. This research is motivated by the condition of the average students who still has difficulty to understanding the material and writing description text. The research use Sadiman’s model research and development design. Development data formed a description of media development. The test subjects in this research and development were VIIth G class of SMPN 2 Sidoarjo students.

Data collection techniques use questionnaire sheets for students need and interviews, validations, observations, and students response questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses the analysis of the questionnaire results of the needs of students and teacher interviews, analysis of the results of expert validators, analysis of observations, analysis of learning outcomes, and analysis of the results of the questionnaire responses of students.

The results of the electric ladder snake game media development study show that the quality of the electric ladder snake game media in the description text learning for VIIth-G class of SMPN 2 Sidoarjo students is feasible to use with the title "very high quality" with a percentage of 84.5%. In the aspect of validity, the electric ladder snake game media was validated based on content /material suitability getting 89.2% percentage results with the title "very good", based on the validation of media experts getting a percentage of 76.2% with the title "good". Based on the results of validity, the validity of the media has an overall percentage of 82% with the title "very good".

In the aspect of media effectiveness, the electric ladder snake game media was assessed based on the results of observations the activities of teachers getting a percentage value of 87.6% with the title "very good". The results of observing the activities of students get a percentage of 83.6% with the title "very good", and the learning outcomes of students get a percentage of 89.4% with the title "very good". The effectiveness of the media based on observations of the activities of educators, observing the activities of students, and learning outcomes of students has an overall value of 86.8% with the title "very good". In the aspect of practicality, the eletric ladder snake media game was assessed based on student questionnaire responses which showed a percentage of 84.7% with the title "very good".
