KEKUASAAN DALAM NOVEL SEPOHON KAYU DI TENGAH GURUN KARYA HARRY D MOHAN

(KAJIAN HEGEMONI ANTONIO GRAMSCI)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hegemoni yang terjadi dalam novel Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun karya Harry D Mohan. Menggunakan teori Hegemoni Antonio Gramsci dan mendeskripsikan tentang; a) Hegemoni kebudayaan dalam novel Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun karya Harry D Mohan, b) Peran kaum intelektual dalam novel Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun karya Harry D Mohan, c) Peran negara dalam novel Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun karya Harry D Mohan.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif karena penelitian ini berupa menafsirkan karya sastra novel dan data yang diperoleh adalah pemaparan tentang bukti-bukti dari hasil analisis novel Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun karya Harry D Mohan menggunakan teori hegemoni dalam bentuk deskripsi.

Dapat disimpulkan hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) mekanisme konsensus yang terdapat dalam novel Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun dibentuk oleh penguasa kepada tokoh yang dikuasai, dalam novel kesepakatan yang dibuat oleh penguasa disepakati oleh yang dikuasai sehingga terdapat konsensus. 2) Peristiwa hegemoni kebudayaan yang terdapat dalam novel Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun karya Harry D Mohan meliputi hegemoni budaya berdasarkan kepercayaan masyarakat Jawa. Kebudayaan menjadi kekuatan material bagi masyarakat khusus yang berhasil dilakukan, 3) Peran kaum intelektual yang terdapat dalam novel Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun karya Harry D Mohan dari terdapatnya supremasi kepala sekolah, lembaga sosial atau sekolah. Juga peran guru senior terhadap guru junior yang berhasil dilakukan oleh kaum intelektual, 4) Peran negara dalam novel Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun karya Harry D Mohan terdapat wilayah dari masyarakat sipil, terdapat organisasi dalam formasi sosial yang tidak merupakan didanai oleh negara dan produksi material.

This study aims to find out how the hegemony that occurred in the novel Sepohon Kayu in Tengah Gurun by Harry D Mohan. Using Antonio Gramscis theory of hegemony and describing about; a)Consensus in the Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun’s novel by Harry D Mohan b) Cultural hegemony in the Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun’s novel by Harry D Mohan, c) The role of intellectuals in the Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun’s novel by Harry D Mohan, d) The role of the state in the Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun’s novel by Harry D Mohan.

This research uses descriptive qualitative method because this research is in the form of interpreting novel literature and the data obtained is the presentation of the evidence from the analysis of the Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun’s novel by Harry D Mohan using the theory of hegemony in the form of description.

It can be concluded that the results of this study are 1)the consensus mechanism contained in the Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun’s novel by Harry D Mohan was fromed by the ruler to the mastered figure, in the novel the agreement made by the ruler was agreed upon by the masters so that there as consensus. 2)The cultural hegemony events in the Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun’s novel by Harry D Mohan include cultural hegemony based on Javanese peoples beliefs. Culture became a material force for the special community that was successfully carried out, 3) The role of intellectuals in the Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun’s novel by Harry D Mohan from the supremacy of the principal, social institution or school. Also the role of senior teachers towards junior teachers is successfully carried out by intellectuals, 4) The role of the state in the Sepohon Kayu di Tengah Gurun’s novel by Harry D Mohan is a region of civil society, there are organizations in social formation that are not funded by the state and production material.
