Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan media Bombastis dan (2) mendeskripsikan kualitas media Bombastis berupa kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan yang dikemukakan oleh Sadiman, dkk dengan 8 tahapan pengembangan media. Pengembangan media yang dikemukakan Sadiman dkk, sangat sesuai dan cocok untuk penelitian pengembangan media Bombastis. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian pengembangan merupakan penelitian yang menghasilkan produk berupa media pembelajaran. Proses pengembangan media Bombastis dilakukan dengan mengikuti 8 tahapan yang dikemukakan oleh Sadiman. Sumber data penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X IPS 1 SMAN 12 Surabaya, validator media, materi, dan bahasa, serta pengamat, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket, validasi, observasi, dan tes. Hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tentang proses pengembangan media Bombastis dan mendeskripsikan tentang kualitas media Bombastis. Hasil proses pengembangan media Bombastis berupa angket kebutuhan siswa dan validasi media. Hasil dari angket kebutuhan siswa memperoleh dua jawaban yaitu 74% untuk perolehan jawaban “Ya” dan jawaban “Tidak” memperoleh persentase 25%, sedangkan hasil penilaian dari validator media, materi, dan bahasa mencapai 93%. Berdasarkan kedua penilaian tersebut, proses pengembangan media layak untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran menulis puisi. Sementara itu, hasil dari kualitas media Bombastis diperoleh dari kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan media. Ketiga penilaian tersebut memiliki capaian hasil yang baik berupa angket respon siswa yang mencapai 86% dari segi kepraktisan, sedangkan segi keefektifan mempunyai tiga kriteria penilaian yaitu hasil belajar siswa, lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru, dan lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa. Hasil belajar siswa menperoleh persentase sebanyak 87,47%, lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru memperoleh persentase sebanyak 90%, dan lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa memperoleh persentase sebanyak 84%. Dalam hal ini, media Bombastis merupakan media yang efektif untuk membantu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, khususnya menulis puisi. Media Bombastis juga menjadi media yang layak digunakan secara berkala. Kata Kunci: penelitian pengembangan, media Bombastis, menulis puisi.

Abstract
The purpose of this research is (1) to describe about the process of Bombastis development and (2) to describe the quality of Bombastis which is about validity, practicality, and effectivity. This research use development research method proposed by Sadiman and Co with 8 steps media development. This media development presented by Sadiman and Co, is very compatible and suitable for research development of Bombastis media. This research also use descriptive qualitative research method. Development research produce a product, which is media for learning. The process of media development carried out by following 8 step from Sadiman. The source of this research is student of X grade SMAN 12 Surabaya, media validator, material, and language, and also observer, whereas data are collected by questionnaire, validation, observation, and test.The result of this research is describing about process media development of Bombastis and describing about the quality of the media. The result of media development process of Bombastis is student needs questionnaire and media validation. The result of the student needs questionnaire gained two answer that is 74% for the “Yes” answer and “No” answer gained a percentage of 25%, whereas the result of assessment and media validators, material, and language reach 93%. Based on both assessment, media development process are proper to use in writing poetry lesson. Meanwhile, result of media quality of Bombastis were obtained from the validity, practicality and effectivity of media. Those three assessment have a good result in the form of student responses questionnaire which reached 86% in aspect of practically, while the effectiveness aspect has three assessment criteria that is student learning of outcomes, observation sheets of teacher activities, and observation sheets of student activities. Student learning outcomes get a percentage of 87,47%, observation sheets of teacher activities get a percentage of 90%, and observation sheets of student activities get a percentage of 84%. In the case, Bombastis media is a media that can help student to increase learning outcomes, especially writing poetry. Bombastis media also becomes a media that is suitable for periodic use.Keywords: development research, Bombastis media, writing poetry.
