PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA KARTU KATA BERGAMBAR TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PUISI SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 1 GEMPOL

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan media kartu kata bergambar terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi pada kelas eksperimen dan kemampuan menulis puisi pada kelas kontrol siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Gempol. Peneliti menggunakan metode True Experimental dengan desain Pre-Test Post-Test Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Gempol. Kelas VIII-H menjadi Kelas Eksperimen dan kelas VIII-F selaku Kelas Kontrol dengan masing-masing jumlah 34 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan dan analisis data menggunakan Pre-Test dan Post-Test. Perubahan rata-rata dari Pre-Test dan Post-Test kelas VIII-F selaku kelas kontrol adalah 71,97 menjadi 79,08 dengan kenaikan N-Gain 0,25. Perubahan rata-rata dari Pre-Test dan Post-Test kelas VIII-H selaku kelas eksperimen adalah 73,91 menjadi 83,53 dengan kenaikan N-Gain 0,38. Terjadi kenaikan yang signifikan baik di Kelas Eksperimental ataupun di Kelas Kontrol.

This research aims to describe the using of picture word cards to the poetry writing ability of experimental and the poetry writing ability of control classes of the 8th Grade in SMP Negeri 1 Gempol. Researcher uses true experimental method with Pre-Test Post-Test Control Group Design. The population of the research is 34 students of Class H of the 8th Grade as Experimental Class, and 34 students of Class F of the 8th Grade as Control Class. Data collection and analysis uses Pre-Test and Post-Test. The average score change from Pre-Test and Post-Test at Class F of the 8th Grade as the Control Class is 71,97 to 79,08 with the increase of N-Gain 0,25. The average score change at Class H of the 8th Grade as the Experimental Class from Pre-Test and Post-Test is 73,91 and 83,53 with the increase of N-Gain 0,38. Therefore, there is a significant increase in both Experimental and Control classes..
