REPRESENTASI NILAI SOSIAL DALAM NOVEL PUKUL SETENGAH LIMA KARYA RINTIK SEDU (KAJIAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA IAN WATT)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan realitas sosial yang sering dijumpai di lingkungan masyarakat, fungsi sosial sastra, dan nilai sosial yang dapat diterapkan di dikehidupan dalam novel Pukul Setengah Lima karya Rintik Sedu. Novel ini diteliti mengguanakan teori sosiologi sastra Ian Watt dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Pukul Setengah Lima karya Rintik Sedu yang diterbitkan tahun 2023. Data yang diperoleh berupa kalimat, dialog, dan paragraf yang menunjukkan relitas sosial, fungsi sosial sastra, dan nilai sosial. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah dengan metode interaktif secara tiga tahap, yaitu dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini memuat realitas sosial berupa disfungsi keluarga, krisis identitas, pertengkaran, dan realitas sosial masyarakat urban. Fungsi sosial dalam novel yang dipilih memuat sastra sebagai kritik dan pengajaran. Nilai sosial yang ada berupa nilai kasih sayang, nilai tanggung jawab, dan nilai keserasian hidup yang dapat diterapkan di kehidupan sosial.

Abstract
This study aims to describe the social realities commonly found in society, the social functions of literature, and the social values that can be applied to real life in the novel “Pukul Setengah Lima” by Rintik Sedu. This novel was analyzed using Ian Watt’s sociological theory of literature with a descriptive qualitative method. The data source for this study is the novel “Pukul Setengah Lima” by Rintik Sedu, published in 2023. The data obtained consists of sentences, dialogues, and paragraphs that illustrate social reality, the social functions of literature, and social values. The analysis technique employed is a three-stage interactive method, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study include social realities such as family dysfunction, identity crises, conflicts, and the social realities of urban society. The social functions in the selected novel include literature as criticism and education. The social values present include the values of love, responsibility, and harmony in life that can be applied in social life.
