IMPLEMENTASI STRATEGI BELAJAR DIAGRAM ROUNDHOUSE MELALUI COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION (CIRC) PADA MATERI DAUR BIOGEOKIMIA

Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh strategi belajar diagram roundhouse melalui model kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) pada materi daur biogeokimia. Jenis penelitian adalah pre-experiment design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X IPA yang terdiri dari 2 kelas, sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode tes (pre-test dan post-test). Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pre-test kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing 36,2 dan 34; nilai rata-rata post-test kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen masing-masing 63,5 dan 85,3; normalitas gain kelas kontrol pada kategori rendah, sedang, dan tinggi masing-masing 53,3%; 46,7%; dan 0%; normalitas gain kelas eksperimen pada kategori rendah, sedang, dan tinggi masing-masing 16,7%; 73,3%; dan 10,0%; hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa nilai Sig (2 tailed) atau p value sebesar 0,000 dimana nilai tersebut < 0,05, maka perbedaan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen bermakna secara statistik atau signifikan pada probabilitas 0,05. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan strategi belajar diagram roundhouse melalui model kooperatif tipe CIRC berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi daur biogeokimia.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the influence of roundhouse diagram learning strategy through CIRC type of cooperative learning model on biogeochemical cycle material. The research design that used was pre-experimental design. The research subjects were X grade of natural sciences students that consist of 2 classes, as the control and experiment class. The method that used were test method (pre-test and post-test) and t-test. The result showed that pre-test average score for each control and experiment class was 36.2 and 34; post-test average score for each control and experiment class was 63.5 and 85.3; the percentage of gain normality control class for each category of low, medium, and high were 53.3%; 46.7%; and 0%; the percentage of gain normality experiment class for each category of low, medium, and high were 16.7%; 73.3%; and 10.0%; the result of t-test showed that Sig (2 tailed) value or p value 0,000 that < 0.05, so the difference between control and experiment class was statistically significant at 0.05 probability. Based on it, can be concluded that the implementation of roundhouse diagram learning strategy through CIRC type of cooperative learning model give influence to improve the student learning outcomes of biogeochemical cycle material.
