KAJIAN SEMIOTIKA CHARLES SANDERS PEIRCE TERHADAP KATA "SONNE" PADA INSTAPUISI @allesorten

Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to uncover the meaning of the word "Sonne" in the Instagram poems posted by @allesorten using Charles Sanders Peirce’s theory of semiotics. This study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive-analytical methods. The data sources for this study are a collection of Instagram poems by Lena Nellissen posted on the @allesorten Instagram account. The data consist of six Instagram poetry posts containing the word "Sonne," which were analyzed through the triadic relationship (representamen, object, and interpretant) and the typology of signs (icon, index, and symbol). To get a clear understanding, this research looks at how the word is used in different situations within the poems. The results indicate that the word "Sonne" carries not only a basic, denotative meaning as the sun. It also evolves into a symbol of hope, happiness, warmth, and tranquility for the readers. The analysis shows that the sun often represents a positive change after a difficult time. The process of making meaning, or semiosis, is very dynamic. It is influenced by the linguistic and visual contexts in the posts, as well as the personal background and experience of the reader. Furthermore, the visual format of Instagram helps to make the message stronger. It was concluded that simple words in Instagram poetry are highly capable of constructing complex meanings. This shows how modern digital literature on social media platforms can connect deeply with human emotions and everyday struggles.
