PERBANDINGAN MATERI PADA BUKU AJAR SAKURA 1 DAN NIHONGO KIRA-KIRA 1 SEBAGAI BAHAN AJAR BAHASA JEPANG DITINJAU DARI PENDEKATAN KOMUNIKATIF

Abstract

There are many approaches and methods in the teaching and learning language through textbook materials. One of them is communicative approach that emphasize speaking skills. The aims of this research were to describe and to compare learning material from Sakura 1 and Nihongo Kira-Kira 1 through communicative approach in terms of (1) communication learning activities and (2) steps of enhancing Japanese language skills. The methodology of this research was descriptive qualitative. The data analysis technique was comparative descriptive. Based on the analysis results from the text books, the conclusion that both of the learning material text books contain learning materials which were related to the communication learning activities. Communication learning activities in the Sakura 1 learning text book was presented through: picture patterns, finding the missing information exercise, and dialogue exercises and role playing. In the other hand, communication learning activities in the Nihongo Kira-Kira 1 learning text book were dominated by dialogue exercises and role playing, also session of conversation and discussion. All stages of increasing communicative skills in Nihongo Kira-Kira 1 text book learning has been acquired very good analysis results with 100% percentage. While in the Sakura 1 text book learning, there was one stage of communication activities that have been missed with 0% percentage. In conclusion, Nihongo Kira-Kira 1 learning text book was categorized as more relevant textbook learning as the learning material source because the text book contained the detail stages of communication activities consecutively and completely.
