PENGGUNAAN DAN FUNGSI TENKA NO SETSUZOKUSHI DALAM BUKU TANOSHIKU YOMOU II (?????? II)

Abstract
Setsuzokushi/conjunctions is a word that used to connect words, phrases and clauses. There are many kinds
of Setsuzokushi, as like Tenka no Setsuzokushi. Conjunctions that included in Tenka no Setsuzokushi are
such as Soshite, Soreni, Sorekara, Sonoue, etc. This study aims to describe the usage and function of Tenka
no Setsuzokushi. This study using descriptive qualitative as the research method and simak catat or note-
taking method for the data collection. First thing to do is reducing data, then do analyzing data also make a
conclusion. The data is presented in table form and narrative form. This study using Japanese reading
learning book entitled Tanoshiku Yomou II as the data source. Based on the data source, there are three
types of Tenka no Setsuzokushi were found, it?s Soshite, Soreni, and Sorekara. There are 26 data were
found which is Soshite 17 data, Soreni 3 data and Sorekara 6 data. All that conjunctions? function is to
connect sentences with sentences, also as an additional relationship. This research conclusion just proved
the theory from Yokobayashi (1988) about Tenka no Setsuzokushi.
