Abstract

Abstract
This study aims to describe the level of suitability between Japanese language evaluation instruments in two high schools
in the Sidoarjo region with the rules for preparing multiple choice questions in the aspects of material and construction.
The research design used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of documentary studies,
observation and interviews. The research subjects in this study were Japanese language educators in two high schools in
Sidoarjo who had taught Japanese for >5 years. Data analysis activities using the Miles and Huberman model consisting
of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: 1) the level of suitability between
Japanese language evaluation instruments in SMA A with the rules for preparing multiple choice questions in the material
aspect is quite good with a percentage of 74.5%, while the level of suitability between Japanese language evaluation
instruments in SMA B with the rules for preparing multiple choice questions in the material aspect is good with a
percentage of 82.5%; 2) the level of suitability between Japanese language evaluation instruments in SMA A with the
rules for preparing multiple choice questions in the construction aspect is very good with a percentage of 95%, while the
level of suitability between Japanese language evaluation instruments in SMA B with the rules for preparing multiple
choice questions in the construction aspect is very good with a percentage of 95.3%.
