Abstract
Imperative speech acts are divided into two, namely direct and indirect imperative speech acts. Anime
Boruto: Arc Chuunin Exam is a work of art that can be used to study and increase understanding of direct
and indirect imperative speech acts. The purpose of this study is to find out and describe the types of
indirect imperative speech acts in Anime Boruto: Arc Chuunin Exam by Masashi Kishimoto and to find out
and describe how the sentence forms of indirect imperative speech acts in Anime Boruto: Arc Chuunin
Exam by Masashi Kishimoto. The basis of this research study is pragmatics. This research is a descriptive
qualitative research. Data analysis uses the theory of Wijana and Rohmadi, Saifudin and M. Ramlan. The
results of the data obtained are as many as fifteen data from the whole and are divided into three types of
indirect imperative speech acts, each of which has as much data as: eleven data types of indirect imperative
speech acts asking, one type of indirect imperative speech acts asking, and three data type of imperative
speech act does not directly ask. With the same data of fifteen data found two forms of indirect imperative
speech act sentences, namely declarative sentences and interrogative sentences, each of which is divided
into twelve data forms of declarative indirect imperative speech acts sentences and three data of imperative
speech acts sentence forms not directly interrogative. Sentences that are often used are types of indirect
imperative speech acts asking and forms of indirect imperative speech acts that are often used are
declarative sentences. The reason for the many types of indirect imperative speech acts of asking is because
there is still a bad feeling towards the interlocutor in ordering and as a ninja you are required to be able to
read situations and circumstances so that there are no misunderstandings in conversation. While the form of
declarative indirect imperative speech acts is the most frequently used because the delivery of information
and statements that occur in the form of declarative sentences that have the intention of ordering behind
them.
