Abstract

Magazines are a form of written discourse in which there are several articles from various contributors. Magazines must be easily implemented by readers, therefore it requires the use of good cohesion tools. Cohesion refers to the relationship between the elements of discourse so that they have an integrated relationship. With this cohesive relationship, an element in the discourse can then be interpreted according to its relation to the elements. The purpose of this research is to describe the use of the repetition cohesion tool and its function in NADI Magazine. The theory used in analyzing this cohesion belongs to Wolfgang Schindler (2006). This research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data source of this research was obtained from NADI Magazine. Then the data from this study were sentences containing recurrence cohesion tools that were found in NADI magazine. The data technique used is the reading note technique. Then the data analysis was carried out using the agih method, with this method, the analysis was carried out sequentially starting from selecting data, analyzing data based on the theory used, then the last one concluded. With details, namely the use of repetition cohesion tools using full repetitions and 115 use repetition cohesion tools using partial repetitions. From these studies, it can be said that the use of repetition cohesion tools is more dominant than partial repetitions. Both forms of Rekurrenz cohesion serve to emphasize the word that is the topic of conversation, so that a magazine is easier to understand.
