IRONI DAN SARKASME DALAM ALBUM LaFee KARYA LaFee

Abstract

The research examined Irony and Sarcasm Contained in LaFee Album by LaFee with purpose to describes the stylistic form in the lyrics of the "Virus", "Prinzesschen", and "Verboten" songs and describes the stylistic form of sarcasm in the lyrics of the "Virus", "Prinzesschen", and "Verboten" songs. This research using descriptive qualitative. The researcher used qualitative methods to analyze the highlighted phrases in the sentence with dictionary assistance, deep recognized the meaning of the three songs to discover the implied meanings to be conveyed in the song using connotative and denotative meaning theory by Keraf. After knowing the meaning of each phrase, the next step is to clarify the indicator words for the stylistically of irony and sarcasm using some theory from Nurgiyantoro. The data was collected using the listening method based on the tapping technique followed by the SBLC technique (Simak, Bebas, Libat, and Cakap). Subsequently, the data has been collected with noted technique its means noted the part of lyrics that will be an object of the research. The first stage of the analysis is to classify the data based on the type of irony or sarcasm, then translating the German lyrics into Indonesian to make it easier to understand the meaning of the song lyrics. Furthermore examine the data that has been grouped by type. The final step is to conclude the research, with the results of the analysis are using sixteen data of language style, namely; three phrases use irony and thirteen sarcasm in the three songs.
