Abstract

New vocabulary in German can be formed through morphological processes such as composites. Composites as a morphological process often appear in literary or non-literary texts. The song is one of the literary works that can be found in it's composites. Problems in the composite can be related to its construction or meaning. The formation of a composite from the perspective of its construction can be formed from two or more same or different word classes such as noun + noun, noun + adjective. In addition, problems related to composites can be in the form of their meanings, namely the meaning of composites can be traced from each of the meanings of the lingual units forming the composites or composites can have new meanings, namely the meanings cannot be traced from each of the composites forming. These problems can be found in literary works such as the album 'Nador'. Therefore, this study aims to describe the construction of noun composites and their meanings in the texts of the songs Gut So, 90s Kids, and Stoptaste on the album 'Nador'. As a type of qualitative descriptive research, the data from this study were obtained through note-taking techniques. In this study using the theory of Shchipitsina
(2009). The results of the research using the Ersatzprobe or substitution technique show that the noun composite construction on the album 'Nador' is a combination of noun + noun. What is interesting from the results of this study is the meaning of the composite construction of noun + noun. These meanings can be in the form of meanings that are derived from each of the composite constructors or meanings that cannot be traced from each of the composite constructors.
