Posisi Perempuan dalam Teks Berita Kasus Kekerasan Seksual di Media Online Spiegel Edisi November 2021

Abstract

Sexual violence should be public concern. According to World Health Organization, sexual violence is crime that targetting sexuality without concern. Women are often being the target of sexual violence due to gender perspective that women should be under men's feet. This research is using theory from Sara Mills about Discourse Level Analysis that published in 1995. The goal of this research is to describe women’s position in the text of sexual violence cases from Spiegel November 2021 edition. Researcher is using a qualitative method to get a narrative and descriptive result. Researcher found 30 datas in form as sentence of clausal. The result is showing that from 5 texts, there is one text that places women as subject, and the rest as object. This result explains that most journalists are still positioning women as the 'interpreted' side.
