A qualitative descriptive method is applied, focusing on the analysis of characterization by exploring the audiovisual data of the film, including the behavior, environment, attitudes, conflicts, and interactions of the main character. The research results show that the characterization of the main character predominantly uses indirect characterization compared to direct characterization. Finn's characterization includes visual appearance and interactions of the main character. The main character Finn successfully brings the horror element as a victim, evoking feelings of fear, curiosity, guilt, disgust, and surprise. Michael Haneke is a director who directed the main film, Das Weiße Band. The scenes in the script of this film tell several events related to torture to murder, these scenes are called sadistic behavior. This study aims to describe the types and elements of the causes of sadism in the script of Das Weiße Band using Erich Fromm's psychoanalysis theory. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method to find the object to be studied. Then use read and record techniques to collect research data. Fromm suggests (2000: 404-410) that there are 3 types of sadism, namely: sexual sadism, non-sexual sadism, and mental sadism. Researchers found 2 types of sadism behavior in the film script, namely non-sexual sadism and mental sadism. Related to this problem, this research has a purpose, namely to describe the characteristics of personification and its types in Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's poetry. Furthermore, this research also uses the theories of Heinsus Theodore and Ivo Braak. Related to the data used in this research are the texts obtained in the poems by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The use of Heinsius' theory of personification in this data shows that there are characteristics of giving life, giving action, giving ability, and giving nature. Language style is considered important in the creation of a poem, because the beauty of a poem is supported by the accuracy of language style. Without the use of language style in a literary work, especially in poetry, readers will only encounter formal language that can make the work feel boring. Hermann Hesse is one of the German poets who used the personification language style in creating five of his poems. The researcher as a German language learner wants to examine more deeply about the personification used by Hesse, so the purpose of this study is to find out the type of personification used by Hesse in creating five poems entitled <em>Stufen, Es gibt so Schönes, Der Geliebten, Wellkes Blatt, </em>and<em> Traurigkeit</em>. This study uses Braak's (2007) theory of personification types supported by qualitative research methods. The result of this study shows that there are twenty-six data found. However, the formation of composite in advertising often causes problems. Those problems can be related to construction, placement of cores and modifiers, and the meaning of composite. These problems can be found in Mc' Donald’s 'Better M' advertisement. Therefore, this research aims to describe the construction, core, modifiers, and meaning of composite in the advertisement’s text, 'Better M' Mc. Donald’s Germany section of 'Umwelt und Verpackung' 2021-2023 edition. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with the data source being composite in the advertising’s text, 'Better M' Mc. Donald’s Germany. The composites were collected by note-reading techniques and analyzed according to the theory of word formation and meaning by Kunkel-Razum and Fleischer und Barz. The results of the analysis obtained are the composite construction that is most widely used in the 'Better M' Mc, Donald’s Germany advertisement for the last 3 years, namely composite with 2 constituents with the type noun + noun. This research discusses about the metaphor contained in the lyrics of Namika’s Nador album songs. Metaphor is a way to communicate abstract concept by represent it through concrete object. As a figurative expression, metaphor became on of the way to convey hidden meaning and adding aesthetical value which giving deep feelings and emotion to the audience. Understanding of metaphor will help in understand hidden meaning contained in song lyrics. In this research, founded metaphors analysed with conceptual metaphor theory by Lakoff and Johnson. Analysis of metaphor in this research divided in two step which is metaphor classification and interpret the meaning of metaphor. This research used qualitative method. The purposed of this research is to describe the types of conceptual metaphor and the meaning of the metaphor on the Nador album by Namika. The result of this research shows there are structural metaphor, orientational metaphor and ontology metaphor on Nador album, with the domination of structural metaphor in the data. This study deals with intonation patterns and accents in the “50 Jahre Lidl” advertisement on YouTube. Gallman's intonation and accent theory from Duden Grammatik 4 serves as the theoretical basis. The data consists of German declarative sentences in this advertisement. The results of this study indicate that there are seven intonation patterns: LHLLL, LHLL, LHL, LLHL, LHLHL, LHLHLHLL and LHLHLHLHL.
