Angin merupakan pergerakan udara secara horisontal yang diakibatkan adanya perbedaan tekanan udara di suatu kawasan.Informasi kecepatan dan arah angin digunakan untuk memprediksi cuaca dan iklim di suatu tempat.Kecepatan dan arah angin dapat diketahui dengan menggunakan alat ukur yang akurat.Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistemmonitoring kecepatan dan arah angin. Sistem pengukuran kecepatan terdiri dari satu sensor optocoupler sedangkan penentu arah angin terdiri dari empat sensor optocoupler, kedua alat tersebut terhubung dengan ArduinoUno Atmega 328p sebagai pemrosesan sinyal.Pengujian dilakukan dengan membandingkan alat ukur kecepatan angin di Laboratorium menggunakan Anemometer Constant AN15.Alat ukur yang telah dikalibrasi dengan anemometer menunjukkanerror rata – rata  sebesar 1,85%. Selain di Laboratorium, alat ukurkecepatan dan arah angin juga digunakan di pantai Kenjeran dekat Jembatan Suramadu dan kawasan BMKG Juanda. Pengukuran kecepatan angin di pantai Kenjeran dekat Jembatan Suramadu dilakukan pada siang hari, diperoleh hasil kecepatan angin tertinggi 17,75 km/jam dan terendah 1,30 km/jam. Pengukuran kecepatan angin di kawasan BMKG Juanda diperoleh hasil maksimum5,4 km/jam dan minimum0 km/jam. Hasil dari pengujian penentu arah angin di Laboratorium dengan menggunakan alat pembanding kompas terdeteksi 16 arah angin yang sesuai dengan wind rose.

Abstract

Wind is horizontal air movement which has physical magnitude of velocity and direction caused by differences of air pressure in regions. The information of wind is the most important thing to determine velocity and wind direction so it can be predicted of weather and climate in somewhere. Wind velocity and direction can be known by measurement instrument which can record wind movement accurately. The purpose of this researchis designing measurement system which can monitor velocity and direction of wind. Velocity measurement is consist of one optocoupler sensor while wind direction indicator is consist of four optocoupler sensors, both of them connect to ArduinoUno as signal processing. Testing is done by comparing the wind speed measuring devices in the laboratory using Constant Anemometer AN15. Measuring instrument that has been calibrated anemometer shows the average error - average of 1.85%. In addition to the laboratory, tool measuring wind speed and direction are also used on the coast near the bridge Kenjeran longest and Juanda BMKG region. Measurement of wind speed at beach Kenjeran near Suramadu done during the day, the highest wind speed results obtained 17.75 km / h and the lowest was 1.30 km/h. Measurement of wind speed in the region Juanda BMKG obtained maximum yield of 5.4 km/h and minimum 0 km/h. Results of testing performed determinant of the direction of wind in the laboratory by comparing the measuring instrument with a compass showed that the instrument can detect 16 wind direction in accordance with the wind rose.
