Hubungan Iklim Sekolah dan Sarana Prasarana Sekolah terhadap Motivasi Berprestasi Siswa di MA Negeri Sidoarjo

Motivasi berprestasi sangat dibutuhkan oleh siswa agar dapat berprestasi. Salah satu faktor terpenting untuk menumbuhkan motivasi tersebut adalah iklim sekolah yang baik dan memenuhi kebutuhan rasa aman bagi siswa. Selain itu, juga dibutuhkan sarana prasarana sekolah yang baik agar dapat menunjang proses pembelajaran di sekolah.Oleh karenanya, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur hubungan antara iklim sekolah dan sarana prasarana sekolah terhadap motivasi berprestasi siswa di MA Negeri Sidoarjo.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional.Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 308 siswa yang didapat melalui teknik sampling proportionate stratified random sampling, yaitu teknik yang digunakan bila populasi mempunyai anggota yang tidak homogen dan berstrata secara proporsional. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah angket atau kuisioner. Untuk menguji hipotesis hubungan antara dua variable independen dengan satu variable dependen, data yang didapat kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi product moment dan korelasi ganda.

Dari hasil analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi ganda, diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,458 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,458^a = 0,268, yang berarti bahwa variabel independen yaitu iklim sekolah dan sarana prasarana sekolah berhubungan dengan motivasi berprestasi siswa sebesar 26,8 %.Hasil analisis data di atas diharapkan dapat menjadi informasi dan masukan bagi warga sekolah, khususnya di MA Negeri Sidoarjo untuk senantiasa mengoptimalkan motivasi berprestasi siswa dengan meningkatkan iklim sekolah dan sarana prasarana sekolah dalam proses kegiatan pembelajaran di tiap kelas.

Abstract

Achievement motivation is needed by students in order to excel. One of the most important factors for motivation is a good school climate and meet the needs of security for students. Moreover, it also takes a good school infrastructure in order to support the learning process in schools. Therefore, this study aims to measure the relationship between school climate and school infrastructure to student achievement motivation in MA State Sidoarjo.This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of correlational research. The sample in this study amounted to 308 students obtained through proportionate stratified random sampling technique sampling, which is a technique that is used when the population have a member that is not homogeneous and stratified proportional. The data collection techniques used in this study was a questionnaire or questionnaires. To test the hypothesis of a relationship between two independent variables with the dependent variable, the data obtained were analyzed using product moment correlation test and multiple correlation.From the analysis of data using multiple correlation test, the value of the correlation coefficient (R) of 0.458 and a coefficient of determination of 0,458a = 0.268, which means that the independent variables are school climate and school infrastructure related to student achievement motivation by 26.8%.The results of the analysis of the above data is expected to be information and advice for residents of the school, especially in the MA State Sidoarjo to continuously optimize student achievement motivation to improve school climate and school infrastructure in the process of learning in each class.Keywords: School Climate, School Infrastructure and Student Achievement Motivation
