PENGARUH KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER DAN ORGANISASI SISWA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR AKADEMIK SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 15 SURABAYA

Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler merupakan suatu kegiatan di luar jam belajar kurikulum standar yang dilaksanakan untuk membantu peserta didik dalam mengembangkan potensi diri yang dimiliki sesuai bakat dan minatnya, sedangkan Organisasi siswa di sekolah yaitu OSIS dipandang sebagai sistem, dimana sekumpulan para siswa mengadakan koordinasi dalam upaya menciptakan suatu organisasi yang mampu mencapai tujuan. Terdapat kasus yangmuncul di SMPN 15 Surabaya, yakni siswa yang aktif dalam mengikuti kegiatan non-akademik seperti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan OSIS sering mengesampingkan kepentingan akademiknya dalam hal hasil belajarnya.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kegiatan ekstrakurikuler terhadap hasil belajar akademik siswa, pengaruh organisasi siswa terhadap hasil belajar akademik siswa, serta pengaruh kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan organisasi siswa terhadap hasil belajar akademik siswa di SMPN 15 Surabaya.Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, terdapat tiga variabel yaitu kegiatan ekstrakurikuler (X1), organisasi siswa (X2), dan hasil belajar akademik siswa (Y). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII tahun ajaran 2015-2016 di SMPN 15 Surabaya sejumlah 185 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sample random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket atau kuisioner dengan menggunakan skala likert, serta studi dokumentasi raport kurikulum 2013. Uji persyaratan analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji linieritas, uji asumsi klasik menggunakan uji multikolinieritas dan korelasi product moment, serta uji asumsi residual menggunakan uji heteroskedastisitas, uji autokorelasi, dan uji normalitas residual. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi ganda untuk menjawab hipotesis ketiga, dan analisis uji T untuk menjawab hipotesis pertama dan kedua.Hasil analisis data adalah sebagai berikut: (1) kegiatan ekstrakurikuler secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar akademik siswa, (2) organisasi siswa secara parsial tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar akademik siswa, dan (3) kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan organisasi siswa secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar akademik siswa.

Abstract

Extracurricular activities are the activities committed at the outside of the standard of learning time allotment based on running curricula in order to provide the students with many chances to develop their potentials in accordance with their passion and talents as well. Meanwhile, the student’s organizations, one to be specific Internal Students Organization (OSIS), constitutes a system that facilitates the students to conduct a coordination as the effort to create the expected organization that can achieve the desired goals. However, there was a crucial case that occurred in SMPN 15 Surabaya. The students, active in many non-extracurricular activities and OSIS, often ignored the importance of their academic development as well as learning achievement.This research aimed at investigating the effects of the extracurricular activities, the student’s organizations, and also the two on the student’s learning achievement in SMPN 15 Surabaya.In this study, quantitative approach was employed. There were three variables, namely the extracurricular activities (X1), the student’s organizations (X2), and the student’s learning achievement (Y).The population of this study comprised the students of Grade 8 Academic Year 2015-2016 in SMPN 15 Surabaya with 185 students in total. The technique for sampling of this study was sample random sampling. To collect the data, questionnaire by means of likert scale and also documentation on the learning report of 2013 Curriculum were occupied. The requirement test for data analysis was by means of normality and linearity tests, classical assumption test by means of multicolinearity, correlation product moment, and residual assumption by using heterocedasticity, auto-correlation, and residual normality tests. For data analysis, double regression analysis was used to answer the third formulated question and T-test to answer the first and second ones.The results of this study were (1) the extracurricular activities partially gave effects to the student’s learning achievements (2) the student’s organizations did not partially give effect the student’s learning achievement, and (3) the two variables gave effect to the student’s learning activities at once.
