Peran Kepala Sekolah Dalam Implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah

Abstract

The principal is one of the important elements in the world of education and is a leader in each educational unit. The role of a school principal is needed to optimize the implementation of school-based management. School-based management is the impact of decentralization that emerged in the reform era. The school-based management system imposes autonomy on each educational unit to manage all available resources. This autonomy is the responsibility of the principal to bring the school he leads to become more advanced. The purpose of this scientific article is to find out and analyze the role of the Principal in the Implementation of School-Based Management. The method used is a literature study, namely a library research through several journals and references. From the results of the study of the journal, it was found that the Principal in implementing School-Based Management needs to be equipped with communication skills in acting as a facilitator and climatologist. Principals also need to formulate appropriate strategies in implementing school-based management through needs analysis by involving all school members. Decision making is carried out in a participatory manner, involving all school members.
