PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN PERPUSTAKAAN BERBASIS MICROSOFT EXCEL VISUAL BASIC FOR APPLICATION (VBA) DI SDN JAJARTUNGGAL I/450 SURABAYA

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity of the Library Management Information System based on Microsoft Excel Visual Basic for Application (VBA) at SDN Jajartunggal I/450 Surabaya. The research and development of this system is considered important to facilitate and enhance the effectiveness of library management, providing additional value through the technological innovations used by the school. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the Waterfall development model. Data collection techniques included distributing questionnaires to validate the use of the system, and the data were analyzed descriptively and statistically. The results showed that the media expert's validation reached 90% with high validity criteria, and the material expert's validation reached 87.5% with high validity criteria, making the system feasible for testing. The user trial results were 83.07%, indicating that most users were satisfied with the Excel VBA-based library management system. The testing results demonstrated that the Excel VBA-based library management system at SDN Jajartunggal I/450 Surabaya met the four quality aspects examined: Understandability, Learnability, Operability, and Attractiveness, making it highly suitable for use.
