Abstract

WBL (Wisata Bahari Lamongan) was established as a counterpart to pre-existing tourism objects, namely Tanjung Kodok Tourism and Goa Maharani Tourism. Like most organizations and other industries, for the management of Maritime Tourism Lamongan, having qualified human resources in intense competition between industries is important for WBL. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the role of affective commitment in mediating the effect of employee engagement on civic virtue. This research is causality research with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique uses saturated samples with 33 respondents in the WBL Office employees. The statistical analysis used in this study is Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study explain that employee engagement does not affect civic virtue. Employee engagement has a positive and significant effect on affective commitment. Affective commitment has a positive and significant effect on Civic virtue. Employee engagement has a positive and significant effect on civic virtue through Affective commitment. This study concludes that employees have a good affective commitment with the policy of instilling the value of ownership.
