The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of sports massage on sleep quality as a practical recovery intervention. The study used a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design in college students with poor sleep quality. Sleep quality was measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) before and after the intervention. Treatment was given in one session using basic massage techniques. Data analysis used a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the average sleep quality score decreased from 9.25 to 5.28 after the intervention, indicating improved sleep quality. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed (p > 0.05), and the results of the paired sample t-test showed a significant difference (t = 37.743; p = 0.001). It was concluded that sports massage is effective in improving college students' sleep quality by increasing physiological relaxation, thus it can be a practical alternative non-pharmacological intervention, although this study still has limitations in design and measurement.
