Abstract

PT. Z is a company engaged in the packaging of food and products. To produce in accordance with the
production target, of course it is supported by machines and equipment at every stage of the process and must be
operated effectively and efficiently. To operate machines and equipment effectively and efficiently, a good
machine maintenance system is needed. The research method used is Age Replacement by determining the
optimal intervals for prevention of treatment. The results that have been obtained from calculations with the age
replacedment method. Scheduling of replacement of doctor blade components prevention using the optimal age
replacement method is 159 hours with a component reliability level of 70.87%. Comparing downtime and
maintenance costs after using the age replacement method, the treatment cost is Rp. 16,056,506.85 from the
original cost of IDR 94,895,057.8. So that there is a cost savings of Rp. 70,810,297 or equal to 29.45%.
