RANCANG BANGUN BAFFLE BERSUDUT PADA HEAT EXCHANGER SHELL AND TUBE
Heat exchanger is a equipment the most commonly used functions as heater and cooler. To improve the performance of the heat exchanger shell and tube required a re-design, one with the variation of inclination angle of the baffle on the heat exchanger shell and tube. The purpose of this study is to design a heat exchanger shell and tube in order to have maximum performance. The object of this research is the heat exchanger shell and tube type with angle of the baffle 30° types of baffles used double segmental. The testing process is performed with data collection, followed by analyzing the performance of the tool through the results of the calculation of the effectiveness. The design produces the value of the effectiveness of 25% at an angle of 30°.
