In the utilization of wave power, it is necessary to develop it to produce optimal electrical energy in converting motion energy into electrical energy. Based on the above problems, a research was carried out on the effect of the number of turns of wire in a linear generator coil on the performance of a linear generator. The purpose of this research; (1) Knowing the effect of the number of coil turns on the power generated by a linear generator, (2) Getting the best number of coil turns for a linear generator from testing the PLTGL mechanism for a magnetic linear generator. The method used is an experimental method with a linear generator as the object of research. The test method is carried out in a wave simulator pool which will move the buoy and the generator shaft up and down. Data analysis using descriptive method. In this experiment, researchers used variations in the number of coil wires of 2000, 3000, 4000 turns. The results of the study showed that the number of coil wires had an effect on the power and efficiency of the linear permanent magnet generator, namely the more the number of coil wires, the higher the power and efficiency produced, this can be seen from the power and efficiency produced, namely 0.0227 Watt with an efficiency of 2.55%, 0.0487 Watt with 5.48% efficiency, 0.0882 Watt with 9.92% efficiency. From this research, the best number of coils from a linear generator is to use 4000 turns. This is because the magnetic field that cuts the coil is getting more and more and the value of the induced electromotive force is getting bigger.
