UJI EKSPERIMENTAL PENGARUH JARAK CENTER BLADE PENGGANGGU TERHADAP DAYA DAN EFISIENSI TURBIN ANGIN SAVONIUS

Abstract

Indonesia is known as a country that is very rich in fossil energy resources and renewable energy. So far, renewable fossil energy is currently not widely used. In addition, this renewable energy (EBT) has the potential to be developed at this time, namely wind energy. In Indonesia, the average wind speed can range from 3 m/s-6m/s. vertical axis wind turbine is one type of turbine that can be used as renewable energy that utilizes wind energy at low speeds, but the turbine still has a weakness, lower efficiency compared to other types of wind turbines. This research was conducted to test the swirling savonius type wind turbine with the addition of a disruptive blade so that it will affect the results of its power and efficiency compared to without using a disruptive blade. The variations used are the distance of the interfering blade at the outlet with the main blade of 40 mm, the distance of the interfering blade center gap of 10 mm, 20 mm and carried out under artificial wind conditions. From the results of research, it’s explained that the center blade distance of the disturbance at a distance variation of 10 mm produces the best performance with a power of 11.91 watts at a wind speed of 6 m/s and an efficiency of 20.01044 % at a wind speed of 5.5 m.s.
