STUDI EKSPERIMENTAL PENGARUH KEDALAMAN SUDU MANGKUK TUNGGAL TERHADAP DAYA DAN EFISIENSI TURBIN PELTON
Abstract
The limitation of electrical energy is the most basic problem in Indonesia. Micro hydro power plant is an option as an effort to overcome this problem. Pelton turbine selection is based on an economical price and does not require a high head. The purpose of this study is to determine the depth of a single bowl Pelton turbine blade that has the most optimal power and efficiency. This study used an experimental method by varying the depth of the blade bowl by 25 mm, 35 mm and 45 mm in the Pelton turbine. The number of blades is 8 with variations in water capacity of 0.001854 m3/s, 0.002005 m3/s, 0.002434 m3/s and 0.003114 m3/s using a nozzle with a diameter of 25.4 mm with a spray distance of 50 mm. Meanwhile, to get the power and efficiency of the Pelton turbine, a loading variation of 5 kilograms, 10 kilograms, 15 kilograms is used and continues to increase until it stops. The results of research on variations in the depth of single bowl blades 25 mm, 35 mm and 45 mm. The highest power is found in a single bowl blade with a depth of 35 mm of 55.00147007 Watt at a flow capacity of 0.003114 m3/s with a loading of 40 kilograms. While the best efficiency for a single bowl blade with a depth of 25 mm is 76.97% at a flow capacity of 0.001854 m3/s with a loading of 10 kilograms..
