STUDI EKSPERIMENTAL PENGARUH VARIASI KELENGKUNGAN SUDU BERPENAMPANG LENGKUNG POSISI SEJAJAR TERHADAP DAYA DAN EFISIENSI PADA TURBIN PELTON

Abstract

To reduce dependence on fossil energy, namely by utilizing renewable energy (EBT). Pelton turbine is a turbine that rotates by converting potential energy into mechanical energy. Researchers use the Pelton turbine because it has optimal efficiency results. This research aims to obtain maximum power and optimal efficiency. The method used in this study is an experiment with different angle ratios of 120°, 150°, and 180°. There are 8 blades and there are differences in discharge of 0.001854 m3/s, 0.002005 m3/s, 0.002434 m3/s and 0.003114 m3/s using a nozzle ø 25.4 milli meters has a beam space of 50 milli meters and differences in load. This study resulted in different angle ratios of 120°, 150°, and 180° obtaining (Pt) of 12.451 watts at an angle of 180° with a water discharge of 0.003114 m3/s at a load of 30 kg. Optimum efficiency was obtained at 41.03% at an angle ratio of 180° and a discharge of 0.001854 m3/s at a load of 7 kg.
