PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN CDI STANDART DAN CDI DUALBAND TERHADAP TEGANGAN SEKUNDER KOIL MOTOR 4 LANGKAH
Abstract
Technological advances in the era of globalization is experiencing increasingly rapid development, advancing human resources to always create the latest innovations. Technological advances occur in the automotive sector. Along with advances in technology, the automotive industry in the field of motorbike production is competing to create the latest innovations such as creating motorbike variants with good performance. To improve the performance of a motorbike engine, many people in the field of automotive modification do this by making changes to the motorbike ignition system. The ignition system greatly influences the performance of petrol motorbikes. The success of the combustion process of the fuel and air mixture in the combustion chamber will be disrupted if the ignition system does not work properly and optimally. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of varying types of CDI on the secondary coil voltage on motorbikes. The objects used in this research are standard CDI and dualband CDI Honda MegaPro Primus 160cc. The place where the coil secondary voltage testing is carried out is at PT. PLN ULP Krian. The data collection technique in this research is by conducting experiments through testing the objects to be studied and recording the necessary data. Data collection was carried out at engine speed from the lowest 1500rpm to the highest 6000rpm in multiples of 500rpm. Data analysis is carried out using a descriptive method, namely by describing or depicting all data or conditions of research subjects or objects systematically and accurately regarding the reality obtained during testing. The best results obtained in this research were the use of dualband CDI mode 2 producing a voltage of 17.7 KV at 6000rpm. From this research we can see that the use of dualband CDI is very necessary to increase the secondary voltage of the coil in a motorized vehicle.
