PENGARUH CAMPURAN BIOETANOL BIJI BUAH PALEM (Adonidia Merrillii) DENGAN BBM KONVENSIONAL TERHADAP TORSI DAN DAYA MESIN SEPEDA MOTOR 4 LANGKAH
Abstract
As time goes by, the population in Indonesia is increasing and the need for fossil energy is very large, while fossil energy is currently experiencing a decline and is expected to run out in a few years. To overcome this, bioethanol was created to reduce the use of fossil fuels and petroleum. Bioethanol is one of the biofuels which is living material energy. Bioethanol can be used as a mixture of motor fuel. Bioethanol can increase torque and engine power. This research aims to test the characteristics (density and viscosity) of bioethanol and pertalite fuel and analyze the use of pertalite fuel and a mixture of bioethanol on engine torque and power. This research uses a type of experiment by analyzing the use of pertalite fuel (E0) and a mixture of pertalite fuel with palm fruit seed (adonidia merrillii) bioethanol (E10, E20, E30) on the torque and power of a 4 stroke motorbike engine. The results of the research show that seed bioethanol Palm fruit (Adonidia Merrillii) has characteristics of viscosity and density that continue to increase in the mixture of E10, E20 and E30. Thus, the effect of a mixture of palm fruit seed bioethanol (Adonidia Merrillii) with conventional fuel oil on the torque and power of a 4 stroke motorbike can increase the highest torque. on the E20 blend and the highest power on the E30 blend.
