PENGARUH VARIASI OLI SAE TERHADAP NILAI KEKERASAN, BENDING DAN STRUKTUR MIKRO PENGELASAN SMAW BAJA S45C

Decreased function spareparts Motorized vehicles can endanger vehicle users and can result in accidents. Effective
and efficient repairs are needed to cut replacement costs spareparts. These repairs need to be assessed so that
appropriate treatment can be applied to them spareparts. In motorbike vehicles, S45C steel is widely applied to gears,
couplings, pulleys, pistons and what was applied in this research was motorbike wheel axles. Further testing regarding
hardness, bending strength and microstructure is needed so that the properties of S45C steel can meet the standards
for application as a motorbike axle. SMAW welding treatment with a cooling medium can help shape the material
properties of S45C steel according to requirements in achieving hardness and bending strength values that comply
with standards. Based on this phenomenon, the author conducted research on S45C steel with SMAW welding which
was given a variety of SAE 10, 50 and 90 oil cooling media by testing the effect on hardness values, bending strength
and microstructure. This research uses an experimental study method, then the research data is analyzed using the
ANOVA method one way. The results of this research show significant differences in the test results for hardness,
bending strength and microstructure, this occurs due to the provision of variations in oil cooling media SAE 10, 50 and
90. Differences in variations in cooling media influence the cooling rate of the material and then produce different
microstructures, thus affecting the value. hardness and bending strength testing. This significant difference was
obtained through statistical analysis with the ANOVA test one way which shows the significance value of each variation
is less than 0.05. On test after this LSD shows a significance value of less than 0.05 so it is stated that there is a
significant difference.
