Abstract

The performance of automatic motorcycles can be influenced by several factors, including maintenance and replacement of components in the CVT system, such as springs and rollers. This study aims to analyze the impact of CVT spring implementation on the performance of the 2018 Vario 125 cc motorcycle that uses Pertamax fuel. The focus of the research is to evaluate the effect of using racing springs and racing rollers on the power and torque of the Vario 125 cc motorcycle. The research method employed is experimental, with the independent variables being the standard spring and racing springs, and standard roller and racing rollers , while the dependent variables are the power and torque produced. The testing was carried out at IWS Motor Sport workshop in Surabaya, with data collection through measurements of power and torque at various engine speeds (RPM) using both standard and racing components. The findings of this study indicate that the implementation of racing rollers and springs resulted in a substantial enhancement of torque and power output in the Vario 125 CC motorcycle. Specifically, the torque peaked at 9.56 Nm and power at 10.42 HP at 7750 RPM, representing a notable increase of 22% and 23%, respectively, compared to the standard components.
