PLTA Lodoyo is a hydro electric power plant with capacity of 4.5 MW to provide electricity in Blitar and surroundings. In the Pressure Oil System of PLTA Lodoyo there is a Motor Governor Oil Pump which functions to supply pressurized oil in the sump tank to the pressure tank. If in a mechanical system such as a motor using bearing elements, the indication of motor damage can be determined based on the vibration frequency by the bearing. Predictive maintenance in the form of vibration monitoring is carried out to determine the damage that occurs in the motor governor oil pump bearing. This research is experimental study. The purpose of this research is to obtain the vibration characteristic of the governor oil pump motor caused by ball pass frequency inner (BPFI) defect. General machine condition monitoring requires of a vibration spectrum graph. Measurement using the Emerson AMS 2140 Machinery Health Analyzer based on ISO 2372 and ISO 10816-3 standards with motor shaft rotation 1450 RPM, 18.5 kW power and measurements in the axial, horizontal dan vertical directions. The result of this research is the effect of vibration result from BPFI defect. The characteristic vibration of BPFI defect will show an increase vibration amplitude at the same fundamental frequency from all three direction, which is at 125 Hz with the highest value of 0.093 mm/s in the vertical direction. The research result indicate that vibration amplitude value is in the safe category according to ISO 2372 and ISO 10816-3.
